On Your Mark...Get Set...GO!!!!

This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. Not only has my "baby boy" graduated from high school, but we are now 2.5 days from returning to our beloved Uganda. We are all so excited to be going back, but that also means temporarily saying goodbye to friends and family here. Needless to say, there have been some tears shed this week.

But, PRAISE GOD - we get to go back to our second home and our blessed ministry. We will finally be reunited with our ministry partners and brothers and sisters there. This will be our family's 5th year in the ministry. We have 6 in our group - some old faces (Jim, me, Eli, and Sydney Wixtrom), and 2 new - Rhoda Norris and Julie Prewitt. As expected, there is some anxiety and much excitement as the final preparations are coming together.

I want to take a moment to thank our church family at Church of the Open Door, who have been so loving and generous with their gifts and support. You have no idea of the blessings this will bring to the regional churches we visit.

As we prepare to go, I ask that you take time each week to pray for this mission. We will visit new areas, which bring new challenges. We want desperately, to evangelize, teach, preach, disciple, and be obedient to all God has put before us so those who see and hear us can come to the knowledge of our Savior and Lord. We also face threats of malaria and other fun concerns...but, the Lord in His mercy will use whatever the situation is to teach us or others about trusting in Him. Please pray for hearts to be softened to the message of the Gospel. This is the primary reason for our journey. We love people and plead for their souls. May God direct our footsteps and lead us to where He wants us to go.

We love you all, and thank you again for your love and support.

Mungu akubariki zana - God bless you very much!

"For so the Lord has commanded us, 'I have placed you as a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the end of the earth." ~ Acts 13:47
